OKALECZONA.UKRAINA

Ukraina. Nie sposób pokazać ogromu cierpień jej mieszkańców.
Fotografie zatrzymują momenty dla potomnych, dokumentują, opisują, dotykają ran, niepokoją. Taka ich rola.

Chcemy, by wystawa zdjęć pt.  „Okaleczona.

The 24th of February – the anniversary of Russian armed attack on Ukraine – is right around the corner.
A full year of war, during which thousands of people died, and during which society, nation, country, nature and economy all suffered alike.
There are wounds, there are injures. There’s war and there is the Wounded Ukraine. It is not possible to completely show the enormity of suffering of its citizens.
These photos capture moments for the future generations. They document, describe, prod at wounds, and disturb. That is their function.

We want the “WOUNDED.UKRAINE” photograph exhibition to be more than just a way to contemplate the magnitude of destruction, heroic defense against the invader and the small-great human tragedies. We also want it to show our solidarity with Ukrainians. We want to show that our thoughts are with them, that we support them, and that we eagerly await the end of this monstrous war.

A bombed cultural site, one of the 113 historical landmarks; Charkov district, in which a 100 thousand people used to live – these are just examples of the tragic pictures that were documented with a camera.
This war has been going on for a year. A WHOLE, LONG YEAR.
See how WOUNDED UKRAINE looks.
